We at Seeker UG (haftungsbeschränkt) (together with our affiliates, “Seeker”, “we”, “our” or “us”) respect your privacy and are strongly committed to keeping secure any information we obtain from you, about you, or about other people you share with us. This Privacy Policy describes our practices with respect to Personal Data that we collect from or about you when you use our website, applications, and services (collectively, “Services”).

1. Personal Data we collect

We collect personal data relating to you (“Personal Data”) as follows:

Personal Data You Provide: We collect Personal Data if you create an account to use our Services or communicate with us as follows:

  • Account Information: When you create an account with us, we will collect information associated with your account, including your name, contact information, account credentials, payment information, and transaction history, (collectively, “Account Information”).

  • Communication Information: If you communicate with us, such as via email or our pages on social media sites, we may collect Personal Data like your name, contact information, and the contents of the messages you send (“Communication Information”).

  • Other Information You Provide: We collect other information that you may provide to us, such as when you participate in our events or surveys or provide us with information to establish your identity or age (collectively, “Other Information You Provide”).

Personal Data We Receive from Your Use of the Services: When you visit, use, or interact with the Services, we receive the following information about your visit, use, or interactions (“Technical Information”):

  • Location Information: We may determine the general area from which your device accesses our Services based on information like its IP address for security reasons and to make your product experience better, for example, to protect your account by detecting unusual login activity.

  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and administer our Services, and improve your experience.

Personal Data We Receive through Integrations: When you integrate our Services with your Application Tracking Systems, HR Systems, Candidate Tracking Systems, and other business tools, we receive the following information from such systems (“Business Information”):

  • Candidate Information: We have access to Personal Data of candidates that you provide through the integrations with our Services (“Content”), including the candidate's first name, last name, address, contact information, job history, education history, resume files, and cover letter files, depending on the features you use. We may store some of the Candidate information in our systems to provide, customize and improve the Services. Our policy is to collect as little Candidate Information (personal data included) as possible to ensure a private experience when using the Services.

Information We Receive from Other Sources: We receive information from our trusted partners, such as security partners, to protect against fraud, abuse, and other security threats to our Services, and from marketing vendors who provide us with information about potential customers of our business services.

We also collect information from other sources, like information that is publicly available on the internet, to improve our Services.

2. Data disclosure

We will only disclose the limited user data we possess if we are legally obligated to do so by a binding request coming from the competent German authorities. We may comply with electronically delivered notices only when they are delivered in full compliance with the requirements of German law. Seeker’s general policy is to challenge requests whenever possible and where there are doubts as to the validity of the request or if there is a public interest in doing so. In such situations, we will not comply with the request until all legal or other remedies have been exhausted. Under German law, subjects of judicial procedures have to be notified of such procedures, although such notification has to come from the authorities and not from the Company.

3. Your privacy rights at Seeker

Through your Account interface, you can directly access, edit, delete, or export personal data processed by the Company in your use of the Services.

If your Account has been suspended for a breach of our Terms of Service, and you would like to exercise the rights related to your personal data, you can make a request to our support team.

In case of violation of your rights, you have the right to lodge a complaint to the competent supervisory authority.

4. Modifications to Privacy Policy

Within the limits of applicable law, the Company reserves the right to review and change this Privacy Policy at any time. As long as you are using the Services, you are responsible for regularly reviewing this Privacy Policy. Continued use of the Services after such changes are performed shall constitute your consent to it.
